The AME Technology Dual Loadcell Vertical Tensile Tester (NexGen) AME-1005 is an advanced tensile testing system developed to meet the demanding requirements of paper and packaging quality control laboratories. The instrument enables accurate measurement of tensile strength, elongation, strain at break, tensile stiffness, breaking length, and Young’s modulus for paper, paperboard, and tissue samples.
The tester features high-friction anti-slip clamps that securely grip specimens without causing damage, ensuring accurate elongation and force measurements. The upper clamp moves at a controlled test speed via a high-precision lead screw driven by a servo/stepper motor system, providing smooth crosshead motion and repeatable results.
The integrated NexGen touch interface records, processes, and stores test data automatically. Upon test completion, the system generates detailed reports including graphical representation and statistical analysis such as maximum, minimum, mean, standard deviation, coefficient of variation, and MD/CD ratio. Test reports can be printed or transferred wirelessly to a PC for further analysis.
