Folding Endurance Tester (Schopper Type)

Folding Endurance Tester (Schopper Type)

Model: AME-1012

The AME Technology Folding Endurance Tester (Schopper Type) AME-1012 is a precision-engineered testing instrument developed for accurate determination of folding endurance of paper, paperboard, foil, and thin film materials. Designed to meet the rigorous requirements of laboratory testing and quality control environments, this tester provides dependable evaluation of material durability under repeated bending and folding stress.

The instrument operates by subjecting the test specimen to continuous double-folding along the same fold line until rupture occurs, closely simulating real-world mechanical fatigue conditions. This controlled folding action enables precise assessment of a material’s resistance to repeated stress, offering valuable insight into its strength, flexibility, and long-term performance. With stable operation, consistent test conditions, and reliable result output, the AME-1012 is an essential quality assurance tool for manufacturers and laboratories focused on product durability, performance validation, and compliance with international testing standards.

  • Description
  • Technical Specifications

The AME Technology Folding Endurance Tester (Schopper Type) AME-1012 is engineered to evaluate the ability of paper and related materials to withstand repeated folding, bending, and creasing during practical use. The instrument performs a controlled double-fold motion, folding the specimen backward and forward along the same line until rupture occurs.

The tester is equipped with two horizontally opposed clamping jaws that securely hold a 100 mm long specimen under controlled tension. A slotted folding blade moves continuously between precision folding rollers, producing up to 120 double folds per minute. Two specimens can be tested simultaneously, significantly improving laboratory productivity.

Each test station is fitted with an independent digital impulse counter that records the total number of double folds until specimen failure. The counters automatically stop upon rupture, ensuring accurate and repeatable folding endurance results with minimal operator supervision.
